Thank You for Joining Us During Lower School Service Club - Friday, February 28

On Friday, February 28, the Bush Lower School Service Club held a session focusing on food insecurity. Students first heard the book Maddi’s Fridge, a story that highlights the impact of hunger and the importance of taking action. Twenty-five students and fifteen parent volunteers joined together to prepare over eighty sack lunches and handmade notes containing uplifting messages. These meals were donated to Aurora Oaks, an enhanced shelter in Shoreline operated by Lake City Partners, helping to feed residents over two days. A heartfelt thank you to all the student participants and parent/guardian volunteers, who generously gave their time- and to the Bush School Families Association for funding the materials and food to make this event possible!

Save the date for the next Lower School Service Club on Friday, April 4 at 2:30 pm where we will be focusing on plastic film recycling and awareness. We encourage the entire Bush community to start saving their plastic film in March and April for our plastic film drive! More information will be shared but find out more about plastic film recycling: get.ridwell.com/bush.
