Welcome Head Volleyball Coach, Michael Barnes
We are excited to announce Mike Barnes as the new head coach for the volleyball program. With over three decades of experience in athletic administration, program design, and coaching, Mike brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of success to our athletic community.
Having served in various leadership roles within the realm of athletics, Mike has demonstrated dedication to fostering excellence both on and off the court. After thirty years of coaching in Louisiana, Mike is excited to enter the West Coast Volleyball world. As an experienced volleyball coach he has spearheaded the development of highly competitive high school teams. Sending teams to State Championships year-after-year in Louisiana. In addition to high school coaching, Mike has worked with USA Volleyball, and several of his students have gone on to compete at the collegiate level.
Mike understands and prioritizes the holistic development of every athlete, emphasizing not only their physical skills but also their social, emotional, and personal growth throughout their athletic journey. He is proud of the work he has done in fostering a fun and competitive environment for his athletes to thrive in, and we are excited for him to bring those skills to the Blazer Volleyball program.
