Please see below for important information regarding Commencement and end-of-year events.

Please note, Commencement is being held prior to the end of K-11 classes, which will continue into the following week. Please see the school calendar for details.

Upper School

  • Senior Dinner and Prom

    Location: Olympic Sculpture Park
    Tickets: $65

    Red Carpet will be held at Gracemont from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Senior Dinner will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Olympic Sculpture Park. 
  • Upper School Athletic Awards Banquet

    May 31 - Upper School Athletic Awards Banquet – Save the Date!
     
    Friday, May 31 we will celebrate our Upper School Athletic teams. All students and families who participated in a sport this year are invited to join us in the Mag Gym at 5:30 p.m.. We will gather for dinner, hear from our Hall of Fame inductee, celebrate the athletic year, and recognize our athletic award winners from the 2023-24 year.
  • Senior Week

  • Baccalaureate and Senior Project Presentations

    Date: Thursday, June 6
    Time: 5:00-6:00 p.m. (reception); 6:00-7:30 p.m. (ceremony)
    Location: Upper School South (USS) main floor (reception); USS 2nd floor (senior projects); USS Multipurpose Room (ceremony)

    Baccalaureate is a celebration of the talents and endeavors of the graduating class, and families and guests are invited to attend. There is a Baccalaureate reception beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Upper School South’s Student Life Center. As part of The Bush School’s long-standing tradition, Eleventh Grade parents/guardians provide hors d’oeuvres for the reception.

    Senior project presentations will occur on the second floor of Upper School South during the Baccalaureate reception from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
     
    As soon as the reception ends, students, faculty and staff, families, and guests will transition to the Multipurpose Room in the Upper School South Building where Baccalaureate takes place.
  • Commencement

    Commencement will take place off-campus on Friday, June 7 at the Seattle Convention Center Summit

    Graduates must arrive on campus at 10:30 a.m. for pictures and graduation rehearsal. We will provide lunch and transportation to the Summit. 
     
    The Commencement ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m. and lasts approximately two hours. The ceremony is followed by a reception with light refreshments for families and guests.
     
    Graduation announcements for families should arrive in April.

Middle School

  • Middle School Sports End of Year Celebration

    Middle School Sports End of Year Celebration – May 13
     
    All students who participated in an athletic E-lective this year are invited to gather in the Community Room following school on Monday, May 13. Our celebration will begin at 3:45 p.m. and continue until 5:00 p.m. We will highlight accomplishments throughout the fall, winter, and spring season, hear from an Upper School Student-athlete, and celebrate our three-year student-athletes. Come have fun celebrating the year alongside your teammates! 
     
    All teams will be recognized and have an opportunity to take photos together. Treats and give-aways will be passed out to all student-athletes. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to attend to celebrate the accomplishments of their student(s). Thank you all for supporting Blazer Athletics!
  • Eighth Grade Moving Up Ceremony

    Class of 2028 Moving Up Ceremony
    Date: Wednesday, June 12
    Time: 4:00-5:30 p.m.
    Location: Mag Gym with reception to follow
     
    We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2028 at the Eighth Grade Moving Up Ceremony on Wednesday, June 12 at 4:00 p.m. in the Mag Gym. Doors will open at 3:15 p.m. This event will be streamed live at www.bush.edu/virtualevents for those unable to attend. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m. and end by 5:30 p.m. 
     
    Please note this event has shifted to the afternoon rather than the morning, as we’ve traditionally done in the past. We moved it later in the day to make it easier for siblings, parents/guardians, and extended family to attend.
     
    Eighth Grade families are invited to join us following the ceremony for a reception with light snacks provided by the Middle School Families Association. More details to follow. 

Lower School

  • Fifth Grade Moving Up Ceremony

    Attendees: All Fifth Grade families are invited to attend 
     
    We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2031 at the Fifth Grade Moving Up Ceremony on Tuesday, June 11 at 4:00 p.m. in the Mag Gym at The Bush School. This event will be streamed live at www.bush.edu/virtualevents for those unable to attend. 

    Below are a few reminders about the Fifth Grade Moving Up ceremony.
     
    The ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m. and end by 5:30 p.m. All Fifth Grade families are invited to the Moving Up Ceremony. Tuesday, June 11 will be a full school day for all Lower School students, including the Fifth Grade. 

    Please note this event has shifted to the afternoon rather than the morning, as we’ve traditionally done in the past. We moved it later in the day to make it easier for siblings, parents/guardians, extended family, and our Lower School faculty and staff to attend.
